Melissa Hamilton, FNP

Melissa Hamilton is a native of Northeast TN.  She began her nursing career at East Tennessee State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree.  Afterwards she worked several years at a Level One Trauma center where she spent years working in the community.  After a couple of years working on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana, she returned to her home state and continued her career from King University where she received a Master’s degree in Business and Healthcare Administration.  She later attended Tusculum College and received her Masters of Nursing. 

In addition to general gastroenterology, she has a special interest in liver disease, GERD, and Hepatitis C. She also has a special interest in community and patient education. 

Outside of work Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two dogs.  She enjoys outdoor activities, kayaking, and fishing.  She also enjoys travelling, camping and reading.
